Tripod Cafe, Darlington

Whenever I walk to the Camperdown campus of Sydney University, I walk past Tripod. Outside, the café sign features three peas in a pod and hangs over giant wooden spools that double as low tables. Tripod is one of a stretch of cafes that line Abercrombie St and is usually filled with locals having lazy lunches and a steady stream of uni students picking up their daily dose of caffeine.

Twenty 8 Acres, Darlington

Sometimes you plan to catch up with The Social’s Jacob Horne over coffee and sometimes you want to visit a nice cafe you just found. That is when you realize “why not do both things at the same time?” The cafe in question is Twenty 8 Acres, tucked away in the inner-Sydney suburb of Darlington and a stone’s throw away from Sydney University. This quiet, little establishment is a great place to begin your ‘waking up’ process.
